Rislone Engine Treatment is a high quality penetrating lubrication oil, combined with protective engine additives and unique cleaning additives.  Its multi-grade formula allows the oil to flow freely and provides protection over a broader temperature range.  The unique Rislone Formula is designed to penetrate into valve seats, bearing surfaces, piston rings and ring grooves, where deposits are likely to form.  These deposits are gradually removed and held in suspension until they are trapped in the filter or removed with the next oil change.

Rislone Engine Treatment gradually dissolves and removes harmful deposits of varnish, sludge and gum from the internal metal parts without plugging oil passages.  These deposits form within engines and can alter tolerances, stick valves and rings, cause noisy valves and lifters, and plug oil screens and passages.  Regular use of Rislone Engine Treatment, with oil and filter changes at the proper intervals, will keep such deposits to a minimum.

At high operating temperature Rislone Engine Treatment’s multi-grade viscosity provides needed engine wear protection.  At temperatures below 100°F, Rislone Engine Treatment slightly reduces oil viscosity to provide rapid lubrication, and to carry the special Rislone ingredients into oil passages, ring lands and valve seats.  A cleaner engine is a better lubricated engine with less friction and wear.

Quiets Noisy Lifters & Valves
In addition, it quiets and smoothes engine operation and restores lost power.  Sludge and other deposits can clog lifter passages and make valves stick.  The unique cleaning and penetrating properties of Rislone Engine Treatment remove these deposits and lubricate to free sticky lifters and valves reducing noise.

Rislone works with all petroleum-based motor oils including conventional, high mileage and synthetic.  Rislone is also safe for use with PTFE based engine treatments and will not alter the PTFE coating.

Will Not Alter The Viscosity Of Modern Multi-Grade Motor Oils At Operating Temperature
Rislone Engine Treatment is formulated for “stay in grade” performance when used with 5W20, 5W30, 10W30 and 10W40 motor oils.  Additionally Rislone contains an up to date additive package for compatibility with the newest motor oil.

Use For The Life Of The Oil Change
Rislone Engine Treatment is formulated to be left safely in the crankcase for the life of the oil change for maximum performance.  It is not an engine flush and does not require draining.

Rislone Will Not Void New Car Warranties
At Rislone, we understand your concerns about recommendations against oil additives by auto makers.   The reason for this caution is because unlike motor oils which are governed by API specifications, there are no similar specifications for additive products.  The lack of independent specifications makes it impossible for auto makers to judge the broad category of “supplemental engine oil additives”.  Because it is costly to test each additive product, auto makers simply recommend against all additive products.  It is, however, interesting to note that most auto makers have their own brand of additives available in their parts departments.

How To Use Rislone Engine Treatment
The convenient quart size of Rislone Engine Treatment allows you to replace a quart of motor oil at oil change time.  This reduces the cost of using Rislone Engine Treatment since you are not paying for that extra quart of oil.  If you do not use Rislone Engine Treatment at oil change time, the product can be added at any time to top off the oil level.  Another popular application is to add a quart a few hundred miles before an oil change to help remove the maximum amount of harmful deposits from your engine.
